The role includes building partnerships in collaboration with families and students through case management meetings, as well as liaising with teachers, teacher assistants, the school Executive team, Learning team, Wellbeing team, Administrative team and Counselling team.provide supervision and support to the Teacher Assistants in the Diversity Team.support a collaborative approach with students, parents and carers to ensure that students can access the curriculum, and develop their confidence and autonomy over time.build rapport with students and their parents/carers so as to better understand the implications of individual student needs within the College environment.maintain adjustments as detailed in the student's Personalised Learning Plan, managed through communication and liaison with classroom teachers that may include coaching and supporting professional learning opportunities.assist with providing students with opportunities to develop personal, social and independent learning skills.provide students with planning and support as they transition into varying learning contexts and post school opportunities.assist students to access onsite and off-site activities including excursions, work placements and school camps.evidence of exemplary written and oral communication skills with students, parents/carers and colleagues.be willing to undertake ongoing professional learning and training in support of a student's personalised plan and your own professional learning needs.facilitate small group interventions such as EMU, TRI3, R3 and others.capacity to implement positive behaviour supports and adjustments in line with CSPD's Wellbeing Framework.Qualifications and accreditations:Current Working with Children Check clearance.Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).Experience in relation to working with students with additional needs.Qualification and credentials in the area of supporting students with disability.There are so many great things that CSPD has to offer!
