Job DescriptionConsistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesEnsuring all food items are prepared on time in accordance with quality and quantity standardsMaintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned work areas, utensils, and equipmentAssisting with cost control by minimizing spoilage, waste, and ensuring proper storage of foodMaintaining close communication with colleagues to maximize consistent qualityConsistently improving knowledge and skills by assisting senior chefs as directed and embracing opportunities to learnFollowing kitchen policies, procedures and service standards including all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assigned Qualifications2 years culinary experience working in all areas of a hotel kitchen requiredCulinary Diploma or Certification from a recognized school an assetExcellent customer service, team, interpersonal, multi-tasking, communication (verbal and written), organization and problem-solving skillsBe accountable, reliable, creative and flexibleAble to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and cohesively as part of a teamBe focused on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesComputer literate with Microsoft Windows applications an asset Additional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional ascending and descending stairs and rampsSchedule: Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.
