Seasonal Events Banquet Attendant $30.13 per hour Casual 6 months Fixed Term Age related rates apply if under 18 Positions available across Movie World and Sea World, Gold Coast The opportunity
You will be working across Village Roadshow Theme Parks, and your responsibility will include setting up, packing down, and serving food and beverages at our unique events, such as breakfast with the Dolphins, gala dinners with Superman, or cocktail parties in the Scooby Doo Coaster Castle! To be considered for this role, you must be well-groomed and hold a valid QLD RSA Certificate. Candidates with a manual driver's license and a forklift accreditation will be preferred, although optional.
Your day to day
• Greeting guests and escorting them to their seats as needed
• Ensuring that all guests are served alcohol in a responsible manner
• Setting up and dismantling the event, including arranging table settings, staging, and venue decor
• Providing food and beverage service to a designated area or table.
What you'll bring
• It is essential to possess a QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement of Attainment.
• As there is no public transport available during the evenings, it is mandatory to have your transportation.
• Previous experience in event and banquet catering, along with a sound understanding of food safety, is a must.
• Knowledge of bar operations is required.
• Having experience in fine dining and waiting will be considered an added advantage.
• Wine appreciation knowledge will be a plus.
• The candidate must be willing to work any day, including weekends, school holidays, and night shifts.
