You'll be Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scannersManually loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)Working across sophisticated processing equipment and linesOperating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facilityMorning Shifts available; 2:00am - 7:00am or 5:00am to 12:51pmMonday to Friday ShiftsAbout you You're available to work from October, through our peak periodYou enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detailYou're safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vansYou enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can complete compliance checksYou're comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol productsHow we'll deliver for you You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of peopleA higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates)You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rateWe may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak seasonWe're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
