Join us as a Seasonal Casual Forklift Driver & Parcel Sorter and feel good knowing you're providing a vital service for your community during our busiest time of the year.
You'll be Using a Forklift, loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scannersWorking across sophisticated processing equipment and linesOperating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facilityShifts- Sunday- Thursday 2am- 9:51amAbout you You're available to work from October, through our peak periodYou hold a valid LF Forklift LicenseYou enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detailYou're safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vansYou enjoy a fast-paced environment where compliance checks are requiredYou're comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol productsHow we'll deliver for you You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of peopleA higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates)You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rateWe may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak seasonWe're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
