Searson Buck is recruiting a dedicated and customer-focused Technology Officer to join our client's Technology Services team.
As the initial point of contact for user support, you will provide first-level assistance and help implement various information technology and communication systems.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic environment, supporting users across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture, assess, and prioritize help desk interactions with end users, escalating support requests as necessary.
Attend to Help Desk ticket requests in person, via phone, or remotely.
Provide initial face-to-face, phone, and remote technical support to end users.
Diagnose and resolve workstation, system, and software issues.
Install and configure new hardware, software, and IT services.
Assist users in operating the organization's information technology and communication systems.
Offer advice and first-level software training to users.
Perform general administrative duties within the Technology Services team.
Other duties as required, subject to skills and qualifications.
Skills and Experience:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft products.
Experience in Azure operating system is advantageous.
Excellent incident analysis and prioritization skills with the ability to solve problems efficiently.
Understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory environments, and VMware.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and networking security.
Experience using Help Desk tools.
Familiarity with networking technologies related to client/server applications, operating systems, software, and hardware.
Ability to diagnose software issues and hardware faults effectively.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new specific software applications and hardware platforms.
Previous experience in a similar help desk or IT support environment is highly desirable.
