If you are passionate about preserving and advancing Aboriginal sea country rights and have the skills to coordinate and support diverse programs, we want to hear from you. This role will work within our Sea Country team, who collaborates with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal communities in coastal and intertidal regions, working tirelessly to advance matters concerning Aboriginal waters within the NLC region.
As a Program Coordinator, you will support the NLC's strategic objectives by coordinating various Sea Country programs and managing logistics for consultations with Traditional Owners. This role offers the unique opportunity for extensive travel to remote locations across the NT, engaging directly with communities to ensure the effective delivery of our initiatives.
What you will Bring Proven expertise in consultation, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and mediation techniques and practices.High level cross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.Proficient written communication skills with the ability to produce submissions, business communications and reporting.Sound organisational and time management skills with an ability manage a small teamAttention to detail and strong administrative skillsIn addition to this, you will have: -
A Bachelor degree in Project Management or equivalent relevant qualifications and / or experienceMinimum of three (3) years' relevant experience working in remote localities.Adept at planning and facilitating large-scale meetings.Sound understanding of the 2008 Blue Mud Bay High Court decision is a plus.For a full copy of the Position Description refer to the link provided below.
