Our Service Design & Commissioning team empowers our clients to design, fund, monitor and deliver improved citizen experiences and outcomes. We work across:
the entire policy and commissioning lifecycles - this can involve understanding the needs of Australians, program design and planning, market analysis and shaping, procurement design, and program monitoring and evaluation. a range of sectors, with a strong focus on health, social services, disability, housing, early education and justice. The Role Do you want a chance to make a difference working with federal and state government clients and using your experience in program monitoring and evaluation? Then this is the role for you! We are looking for energetic, experienced Senior Associates to join our Service Design & Commissioning team with a specific focus on design and delivery of monitoring and evaluation activities on behalf of government.
In this role, you will create value by:
Supporting delivery of client projects and proposals: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and co-develop tailored strategies and methodologies which address these needs. You will support the design and delivery of government program reviews and evaluations by contributing to the development of business development proposals, client deliverables (such as evaluation frameworks, program logic models, and data collection tools), and by leading discrete work streams on client projects. Developing insights and evidence: You will conduct analysis, both qualitative and quantitative, to provide government with a clear understanding of the extent to which their policies and programs are effective, efficient, equitable and delivering value for money. You will synthesize, large, complex and disparate information sources to create an evidence base for our findings and recommendations. Supporting continuous improvement of government policy and programs: You will leverage your understanding of specific policy areas or sectors to support the creation of recommendations which address findings from the program evaluation and seek to support a continuous improvement of the impact and outcomes Australians experience in the future. Undertaking safe, appropriate and effective stakeholder engagement: You will support the design and delivery of stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys and other engagement mechanisms and analytical techniques to inform program review and evaluation findings and recommendations. You will build professional relationships with peer stakeholders, including clients, project teams, and internal departments. About you You are a dynamic and motivated person with a strategic mindset. You possess strong research, analytical, writing and project management skills.
You have the proven ability to work and collaborate in a diverse national team, using your people skills to develop strong professional relationships.
You may already have a background in advisory and consultancy services, public policy, or research, or program evaluation.
You may already have experience in health, social services, disability, housing, early education and justice sectors, or a strong desire to work with these sectors.
Technically, you will bring to the position: Experience supporting formative or summative program evaluations, including longitudinal evaluations. Experience with a variety of evaluation methods, including both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Experience with a variety of research methods, including quasi experimental and experimental designs, or economic impact assessment. Experience engaging with vulnerable cohorts, sensitive subject matter and complex outcomes. To support our government clients you will need to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a minimum Baseline or NV1 security clearance; Scyne will assist you in obtaining this clearance so long as you meet the essential requirements.
