Aboriginal Medical Service Alliance of the Northern Territory (AMSANT) We are the peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in the NT. Aboriginal community control has its origins in Aboriginal people's right to self-determination. This is the right to be involved in health service delivery and decision-making according to the protocols or procedures determined by Aboriginal communities based on the Aboriginal definition of health:
'not just the physical well-being of an individual but... the social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of the whole Community in which each individual is able to achieve their full potential as a human being thereby bringing about the total wellbeing of their Community. It is a whole of life view and includes the cyclical concept of life-death-life'.

We are now looking for a full-time Workforce & Leadership Support Manager based in Darwin, Northern Territory .
You will be responsible for managing and leading the Workforce and Leadership Support team, reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and overseeing the development and implementation of strategies and programming to support our member services. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing Workforce and Leadership Support programs and related projects on a day-to-day basis Preparing briefings and position papers to support the CEO and our Board Representing us at forums and meetings at regional, territory, and national levels Reporting our activities to funders and stakeholders in a timely and strategic manner Contributing to the development and reporting of our strategic, programming, and operational plans Building and maintaining partnerships with member services and key stakeholders Supporting the Senior Management Team by contributing to weekly meetings and completing assigned follow-up actions Leading team tasks and promoting effective outcomes within the organisation Ensuring cross-cultural respect and effective communication with Aboriginal communities Undertaking travel within the NT and interstate as required What We Need From You To qualify, you will need demonstrated experience in managing health and project teams, along with a proven ability to deliver effective outcomes. Previous experience managing large-scale projects, including planning, evaluation, and budget analysis, will also be essential. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Tertiary qualifications in health, education, management, or a related field Understanding of Indigenous primary health care and community-controlled health sector objectives Proven experience in engaging effectively with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders Strong verbal and written communication skills suited to cross-cultural environments Knowledge of the environment in which Aboriginal organisations operate As our ideal candidate, you will possess the following soft skills that will help you succeed in this role: strong analytical and conceptual abilities, excellent time management and organisational skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively. You should also demonstrate cultural respect, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering partnerships and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Please note: A current open Driver's License is a requirement for this position. Confirmation of employment is dependent on the outcome of a Criminal History Check and successful application for an Ochre Card.
