Reporting to the Program Manager and Clinical Lead, this role focuses on working with families to enhance safety and strengthen relationships to prevent statutory interventions.
Key responsibilities include: Providing evidence-based therapy to families in their homes Conducting assessments to identify risks, protective factors, and behaviour change strategies Supporting families with structured therapeutic sessions tailored to their specific needs Participating in ongoing training and reflective supervision sessions Maintaining accurate client records and adhering to organisational policies Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to achieve family outcomes Contributing to team cohesion and program improvements About You The ideal candidate will be confident, possess excellent interpersonal dynamics, resilience, strong social skills, and will have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience.
To qualify for this role, you will need: Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling, or a related field Postgraduate training or experience in family therapy, systemic thinking, and clinical practice Proven ability to deliver evidence-based interventions in complex family settings Strong understanding of child protection systems, trauma-informed practice, and cultural awareness A client-focused approach , resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including evenings This role is suited for someone with a genuine passion for empowering families and making a positive impact in their lives.
