We have a fabulous opportunity to come and work in our Mount Isa laboratory as a Scientist Multidisciplinary role - continuous shift. The role's purpose is to perform scientific analyses in the multi-disciplinary areas of Transfusion Medicine, Haematology, Chemical Pathology, and Microbiology in a continuous shift rostering arrangement (laboratory operates 24-hours a day, 7 days a week).
Undertake diagnostic testing and related duties following Pathology Queensland established accredited protocols and standards within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively within the team and with clients, both internal and external to the laboratory.
Key competencies (role specific criteria) Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of diagnostic testing and clinical interpretation of results within a multi-disciplinary.Demonstrated ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team and contribute a range of diagnostic skills relevant to the role.Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to a multidiscipline service with provision of results and clinical advice in a client-focused manner.Qualifications, registrations and other requirements The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognised university or tertiary institution.Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
