Qualifications, registrations and other requirements Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Queensland Health staff are required to participate in 24-hour shift, on-call or weekend roster arrangements.Applicants will be required to work over night, afternoon, weekend and Public Holiday shifts.All newly appointed staff are contracted to work any rostered shift within the 24-hour 7-day roster period, including overtime as required. This facilitates the progressive review of staffing and shift arrangements across the organisation to accommodate changes in workload and service requirements.At times this position may also be required to provide relief to the Innisfail, Atherton and Thursday Island Laboratories, as operationally required.Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
