Participate in the multidisciplinary team with quality activities including writing SOPs and contributing to validation studies for new and/or modified MDU assays under the supervision of senior staff.
Make responsible and informed decisions to prioritise work according to test urgency and availability of instrumentation, in collaboration with the team.

Demonstrate a sound level of knowledge, expertise and skill in performing and reporting diagnostic virological and molecular investigations.Demonstrate an ability to participate in a single-discipline or multidisciplinary team under the clinical practice supervision of more senior practitioners.Demonstrate ability, once trained, to work independently during evening and weekend shifts.Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to a molecular service with provision of results in a client-focused manner.Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO/NPAAC/TGA accreditation/certification.Qualifications, registrations and other requirements The successful applicant must hold at least a relevant tertiary degree qualification (or equivalent degree) in Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Biology or related discipline.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of duties.The successful applicant will be required to participate in a roster for day shifts, evening shifts, Saturdays, Sundays and on-call arrangements.Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
