We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our Acoustics/Noise and Vibration team in our Sydney office as an Intermediate Acoustic Engineer. This position is Full-Time. The role includes but is not limited to: Lead and manage complex building acoustics projects, including sound insulation assessments, room acoustics design, and environmental noise control in residential, commercial, and institutional developments.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work.Collaborate with architects, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate acoustical design into building projects, from concept through to construction.Conduct detailed on-site acoustic measurements, including reverberation time, sound insulation, and background noise levels, and analyse results in accordance with relevant standards.Develop and implement acoustic design strategies to meet project requirements, including the specification of materials, construction techniques, and mitigation measures.Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex acoustic concepts to clients, architects, and project teams.Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in acoustics, including changes in regulations, standards, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering/science/physics disciplines, with advanced degree an assetDemonstrated interest in noise, acoustics and vibrationAbility to work in a variety of physically demanding environmentsSuperior written and verbal communication skillsThe acoustics, noise and vibration team is a close-knit, social team where people love what they do.
