Scientist Anatomical Pathology

Exciting Permanent, Full-Time position available in Townsville. You will apply advanced technical or competent level scientific knowledge, skills, and experience in Anatomical Pathology and engage in independent decision making and judgement on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision to provide an effective, efficient, client focused Histopathology service.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated ability to apply advanced technical or competent scientific judgement in the coordination of Anatomical Pathology services and to follow established standard operating procedures.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.Demonstrated ability to provide Anatomical Pathology services of a complex nature to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards and established principles/procedures.Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.Demonstrated ability to triage workloads and communicate this effectively with team members.About Queensland Public Health and Scientific Services (QPHaSS)Under the leadership of the Deputy Director General, QPHaSS brings together the medical specialties of pathology and forensic medicine, scientific testing, key system support functions and the surveillance, prevention and control of communicable diseases and public health risks in Queensland.
