Work type: Full Time (Permanent) 38.00 hours per week
Schedule: Expected to work weekdays and needs to participate in the rotating on call roster

About the role We are seeking an experienced Scientific Officer who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant, and engaged team who will be responsible for:
Perform manual and automated diagnostic testingPerforming all routine procedures from point of specimen reception to execution of results for Pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissectionAssisting with Stock ControlCompliance with records maintenance and recording of results in line with protocolsMaintaining all equipment and operating equipment in line with protocolsMaintaining current scientific knowledgeParticipation in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activitiesContributing to continuous improvement and the development of new assays as requiredParticipating in training staffLiaising with internal and/or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessaryCompliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes.About you To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:
