As a Scientific Data Engineer embedded within the Information and Digital Science Delivery team of the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation's (DESI) Science Division, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to our ambitious environmental and scientific goals. You will play a crucial role in accelerating, improving, and transforming our data management, analytics, AI/ML and delivery capabilities. Through your efforts, you'll assist our dedicated science staff in enhancing their data management systems, increasing departmental capabilities and maturity overall.Your day-to-day tasks will involve a deep commitment to ensuring the quality and compliance of our data products, guided by architectural and governance standards. This includes utilizing ETL/ELT processes and programming to facilitate both timely and reliable access to data, which is critical for actionable insights and driving AI/ML. By initiating and maintaining strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and client groups, you will promote the overall service integrity.
