Duties Plan and deliver a Science curriculum to Senior School students from Years 9-12 allowing for different learning styles and academic needs.Prepare course materialsWork collaboratively with other members of the Senior School teamLiaise with students and parentsParticipate in the school's co-curricular programTake responsibility for a Pastoral Care class, including:Developing positive relationships with studentsMonitoring uniform, appearance and student behaviourTeach the Pastoral Care programLiaise with parents regarding academic and pastoral progress of studentsUndertake administrative tasks as requiredUnderstand and value positive education practicesActively support the Christian ethos of an Anglican SchoolOther duties as requiredSelection Criteria A relevant teaching qualification and experience teaching Science to Senior School students.A passion for effective teaching and learningAn interest in working with adolescentsThe ability to differentiate the teaching program to address students' learning styles and varied academic needs;A willingness to participate in curriculum development and professional developmentExpertise or interest in the emotional, social and physical development of adolescentsAn understanding of positive education in a secondary settingExperience in the meaningful integration of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into the curriculumExperience in teaching students with special learning needsSalary, Terms and Conditions The successful applicant will be employed under the Independent Schools ACT Standards Model (Teachers) Enterprise Agreement 2021.
