Full-time Science Teacher, SeftonHays Education is working with a mixed secondary school seeking an outstanding classroom teacher to teach science full-time starting January 2025 on a permanent contract between KS3 and KS4. This high school is rated "Good" on their latest Ofsted inspection, with students showing "positive attitudes to their learning" and creating a calm environment throughout the school day.Your New RoleYou will be supporting the Science department by teaching Physics, Biology, and Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 full-time. To be a full-time science teacher, you will need to have qualified teacher status or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up-to-date with recent curriculum changes. You should be a creative and positive teacher who can embrace new surroundings and situations while demonstrating a professional manner. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables are imperative. Good communication skills are crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
