Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 – 12. The College is seeking a Science Laboratory Assistant to join our collaborative and innovative Science Faculty in Term 1, 2025. Reporting to the Head of Department – Science, this is a full time (5 days per week) position working term time only (38 weeks) supporting the Science Faculty in maintaining laboratory resources, and preparing equipment, chemicals and other resources for practical lessons in a secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain laboratory resources and prepare equipment for practical lessons. Ensure compliance with hazardous substance legislation and regulations. Support the Science Faculty in the unique requirements of secondary school science labs. Key Requirements: Knowledge of science laboratory protocols. Knowledge of chemicals and biological specimens. Knowledge of hazardous substance legislation and regulations, particularly as it applies to schools.
