Location ProfileThe time fraction/days worked for this position are negotiable with the School Principal. Westgrove Primary School was established in 1995 and is located within the City of Wyndham on the land of the Bunurong People.
School Demographic In 2024, we have approximately 500 students enrolled across 24 classes.
We have a diverse student population, with 42% from disadvantaged backgrounds and 38% EAL.

RoleRange 2 classroom teachers assist the school in improving student performance and educational outcomes.
They will be expected to:
Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students.Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor/coach other teachers.Provide expert advice on content and strategies for professional learning.Supervise and train student teachers.Assist staff in using student data to inform teaching approaches.ResponsibilitiesThe role may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individuals;Contributing to the development and evaluation of curriculum areas;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.
