Join the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office as an Ongoing Part-Time School Services Leader - Student Support.Reporting to the Manager: Student Support you will be responsible for providing specialist ongoing instructional support and advice within schools and small regional clusters of schools.As School Support Leader – Student Support, you will:Support schools in implementing pedagogical models of support and tiered interventions to address the learning needs of students in line with the Insight into Learning approach to teaching and learning.Provide in-school support to develop consistent learning and assessment practices that use knowledge of student data to inform teaching and learning.Tailor professional learning to assist teachers to improve curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.Foster connections between schools for collaborative conversations, including engaging with Principals, leadership teams and teachers.Willingness to travel and work closely with school leaders and teachers on curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.Some of the skills and experiences we are looking for are:Ability to work in a changeable environment, meeting the evolving needs of the students, staff, system and schools.Competence facilitating adult learning and professional development, demonstrating high level interpersonal and communication skills.Deep commitment to implementing evidence-based practice, including High Impact Teaching Practice, Cognitive Load Theory, Knowledge-Rich Curriculum Theory, the Science of Learning and Science of Reading.Qualifications Required:Education degree with teaching experience.Accreditation C: To teach RE in a Catholic school or willingness to obtain.Registered to teach in Tasmanian Schools or able to gain registration.Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP).Graduate study in area of specialisation or equivalent.You will join an organisation that is driven by:Its vision of Student Focused, Christ Centred, Learning for Life.A professional service-oriented network of offices, teams and employees.Our desire to provide a comprehensive, quality Catholic school curriculum of the highest standard.Catholic Education Tasmania is committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them.
