School Psychologist Part Time Approx 0.6 (Commencing Term 1, 2025) Due to growth, The College is currently seeking to appoint an innovative and experienced School Psychologist to support our students as we grow young people of faith, character, and purpose.

For more information, please visit our website Join us for an information night and see our College book here Your Role: As School Psychologist, you will: Provide psychological counselling, therapy, support and programs for individual students and groups for a range of mental health, emotional and family issues.
Support staff via the provision of professional learning related to wellbeing and by consulting with external mental health professionals to determine appropriate school-based interventions.
Participate in the enrolment process where mental/emotional health concerns have been identified.
Provide early identification of more serious presentations to ensure timely treatment with appropriate mental health services.
Directly work with students who have complex presentations to re-engage with peers and their studies and support the Head of Years, Year Advisors, teachers and mentors in treatment planning.
Participate in crisis intervention and management.
Lead and support the counselling team.
About You: The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience: Registered Psychologist who has had extensive experience in counselling children and adolescents.
Demonstrated ability to provide appropriate recommendations to staff and families to support the needs of individual students (e.g.
behaviour management, student learning and social and emotional interventions).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor information and explanations to a range of people, in an effective and confident manner, dealing with challenging behaviour firmly but politely Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to engage in evidence based short-term counselling, deliver group interventions and provide appropriate referrals externally, based on student needs.
Ability to respond empathetically to students in distress and to manage crisis situations.
Knowledge, skills and experience in a range of counselling approaches to assist children and adolescents experiencing difficult in their lives.
Passion and energy for working in a small team environment and with parents, staff and children.
