Role Description: Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Limited is seeking a full time Psychologist with suitable experience and training to work across Macarthur Adventist College (3 days), in Macquarie Fields and Mountain View Adventist College in Doonside (2 days). As a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Limited staff, you will join a passionate team committed to the achievement of a strategic plan designed to strengthen our schools to achieve our mission to 'Reveal Jesus' to all our students. Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Limited is committed to child safety by providing a safe culture, safe operations, and a safe environment. Location: Macquarie Fields and Doonside About the Role: The successful applicant will hold their psychology registration with AHPRA (either provisional or full) and have a current Working with Children Check in NSW. It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian sympathetic to the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the school. Only those with a legal right to work in Australia may apply, and the appointing body reserves the right to fill this position at its discretion and to close applications early. We are looking for someone who has: Tertiary qualification/training in psychology Experience in providing counselling services addressing emotional and/or behavioural needs to children and adolescents, and their families, and to At-Risk students Demonstrated knowledge of current NSW Child Protection Legislation Demonstrated knowledge of child/adolescent development and mental health issues The ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values and its Code of Ethics and Conduct of Sydney Adventist Schools Active Christian beliefs and values Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory organisation for your profession (Psychology Board of Australia (provisional or full) Skills and experience in psychometric testing Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work collaboratively with a team and engage with multiple stakeholders The ability to work independently, a willingness and capacity to take initiative and to manage a full counselling caseload A current Working with Children Check clearance and Police Check.
