Founded in 1955, Mount Lawley Senior High School is located 5 kilometres from the Perth CBD. It comprises three sub-schools; Years 7 & 8, Years 9 & 10 and Years 11 & 12. Mount Lawley Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and organised school psychologist with a passion for supporting the whole child to achieve to their potential. They must have a friendly disposition and strong communication skills and be committed to forming positive working relationships with staff, students and parents.
Our school psychologist will be responsible for supporting staff to put in place effective strategies and plans that support the mental health and wellbeing along with the learning and motivation of our students. They will offer guidance on behaviour support, risk management and emergency and critical incident management as well as professional learning for staff and parents. Knowledge and experience in identifying, planning and supporting the staff to address both the individual needs of students at educational risk and students with challenging behaviour is a requirement of the role.
