A fixed term full-time parental leave cover commencing July 2024 opportunity has become available for a qualified Psychologist at our Caufield Campus
We're seeking individuals who possess a genuine passion for helping others, a drive to make a difference, and enabling every student to flourish and achieve their full potential. Our preference is to engage a School Psychologist; however, we are open to considering a Social Worker or a Behavior Therapist.

To be successful in the role, you will be experienced in implementing both individual and group support interventions. You will also provide a proactive service that delivers positive educational outcomes for vulnerable children, adolescents, and their families.
As a member of the Local Leadership Team, you will be a part of a dedicated team that works cohesively and will work with all functions in the school.
Experience working with vulnerable people who present with social, emotional and or cognitive differences is preferred.

Key Selection Criteria: Current registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) – Psychologist only Psychology qualification (Master or Doctorate level) preferred, or a relevant degree in Social Work or Counselling. Experience in an educational setting is desirable. Practice knowledge relevant to working with traumatised and vulnerable children, young people, and families such as: child development and the impact of trauma; including the ability to provide therapeutic clinical assessment and trauma informed interventions. A well-developed understanding of Attachment and Trauma Theories, their relationship to child abuse and neglect, and an ability to assist others to understand their associated implications.
