SCHOOL OFFICER SCHOOL OF EDUCATION MOUNT LAWLEY AND JOONDALUP CAMPUSES $74,435-$79,279 PA (HEW 4) FULL TIME, FIXED TERM (12 MONTHS) COMMENCING FEBRUARY 2025 The Role
The School Officer role requires a flexible and organised candidate to support the School of Education deliver its academic program and associated processes in a fast-paced environment.
This School Officer role reports to the Team Leader, Operations and its primary role is to perform routine administrative and financial tasks, provide reception cover for the School across the two metro campuses, and includes operational support for the School's Associate Deans, staff and postgraduate students.
This role is the first point of contact for answering queries related to the administration of the School and its staff.
Each School Officer will usually have a core job and predominant skill.
They should also understudy other team members for the purposes of training, ability to provide absence coverage and to develop additional competencies required for further career development.
This position is responsible for effectively providing a broad range of administrative roles, functions, and services in a fast-paced environment supporting School staff.
The incumbent is accountable for personal performance in the provision of accurate information, advice, and direction on a wide variety of administrative matters, as well as in the performance of their frontline and administrative tasks.
This role requires a willingness to work across the two metropolitan campuses (Mount Lawley and Joondalup).
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated capability to:
Deliver administrative services such as finance, payroll, human resources, information management, committee work (agenda and minutes) in a large organisation;Communicate with clarity and attention to detail;Work independently on directed goals and tasks, and manage competing priorities and deadlines;Be competent with computing & digital technology and demonstrate an ability to work effectively using various software applications and systems available across the University;Experience in working in higher education is desirable. You will also demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

This full-time fixed term position attracts a remuneration of $74,435- $79,279 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
