School Link Coordinator - Infant, Youth, Child & FamilyEmployment Type: Temporary Full Time (Up to 15 Sep 2025)Position Classification: Health Manager Level 2Remuneration: $106,142.00 - $125,241 pa (+ superannuation + salary packaging options)Location: Negotiable within WNSWLHDHours Per Week: 38Applications Close: 29 September 2024 – 11:59pmAbout the roleThis role facilitates access to appropriate treatment and support options for children and young people identified as having mental health concerns, including pathways to specialist mental health services. You will work with schools in both the public and private sector, key education staff, mental health services, and other health services to promote mental health and facilitate evidence-based identification, management, and referral pathways. Providing education sessions to students is also part of the role, assisting to develop knowledge, understanding, and awareness of options to improve or identify symptoms of mental ill health.In this role, the opportunity to make a tangible difference to some of Australia's most vulnerable, including First Nations people, is unmatched. As rural and remote services are harder to access, clients are more unwell and really need your help, showing immense appreciation for your assistance and are especially grateful for the opportunity to get well on country with family support. You will build fulfilling long-term relationships and clearly see the results of your work. This is a super rewarding role.Working in the community, you will have great autonomy and see a wide range of presentations. Our senior staff and educators have a 'doors open' policy, so are readily available to provide you with the right information or support to make decisions and referrals. You'll work with the educators one-on-one until you find your feet, and as we look out for each other in the bush, your peers (a team of experienced staff) will always have your back and are only a call or Teams meeting away.While you may be in another location many KM away, our District has one of the most advanced digital health networks, underpinning a cohesive multidisciplinary team with well-networked members who never feel isolated. You'll have access to psychiatrists for professional support and will build relationships with local GPs to work together to improve your client's health.We are a District that thrives on innovation and you will be encouraged to bring your ideas forward to develop our service. Recent examples include the 'Yarning space' and improving the inpatient discharge process to transition to community supports. Team members are regularly invited to present projects in Sydney to a broader health team.
