Job Purpose The school liaison/traffic management team leader is mainly responsible for liaising with local schools serviced by U-Go Mobility for the day-to-day operations and services provided with their students. Ensure U-Go Mobility completes services in a timely manner in accordance with agreements between schools, Transport NSW & depot operation teams while providing guidance, instruction, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities: Providing feedback to TfNSW who considers the possible implications before making a determination.Verify work times of buses and assess bus stop impacts and lane width compliances within the communities U-Go services.If bus stops are affected or require relocation, or if route diversions are necessary, ensure the contractor provides the mandatory 28-day notice as per our contractual requirements.Communicate and coordinate between the operations team and the network planning team to ensure little to no impact/disruption to services provided within the local community.Attend regular scheduled meetings with TfNSW and local councils to discuss roadworks and major events, display closure signage at the relevant locations to inform customers and minimize inconvenience caused.Before approving any roadwork, carefully evaluate the potential impact on on-time running (OTR) and take measures to minimize disruptions. All decisions are made to ensure minimal impact on service reliability.What will you need to succeed? Excellent knowledge of and experience in transport management policies, procedures and systems gained in bus networks and operations.Good working understanding of Emergency Response Plans and incident management.Demonstrated commitment and knowledge of U-Go Mobility policies and practices and its expected standards of integrity, ethics, safety, and equity.Great communication skills with the community and fellow colleagues.Flexibility and a can-do attitude.Focused on quality delivery and safety of all services.Who are we?
