We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.About the RoleSchool Learning Support Officers provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs including disability in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction and supervision of a teacher to support the achievement of educational outcomes. This support includes student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required. In addition, School Learning Support Officers may provide specific support for students in the following streams or settings: pre-school, vision support, hearing support, and bilingual. Our school has an enrolment of 29 students from K-12 with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and autism. Twelve students identify as Aboriginal and an increasing number require support in the form of English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D).Gralee School supports the development of students with a focus on academic growth, wellbeing, and social success. We maintain high expectations of students using the Positive Behaviour for Learning framework of 'Safe, Friend, Learner' and a positive environment where every student is known, valued, and cared for.
