We are seeking a School Engagement Officer to join Marketing and Student Recruitment, Engagement, Chancellery Division.
The School Engagement Officer plays an important role in positioning QUT as a university of choice through dynamic presentations and high-quality outreach to high schools and the general community.
The School Engagement Officer represents QUT at school visits, campus tours, regional markets, and recruitment events, providing course, admission, and scholarship information to a broad range of prospective students and their influencers.
This position also coordinates and promotes the START QUT program and is responsible for writing news articles and coordinating email communications for guidance officers.

This position is within the Domestic Student Recruitment team, which is part of the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department.
The department is responsible for:
Building and protecting QUT's brand and reputation.Engaging and recruiting future students.Ensuring communications from QUT are effective and of high professional standard.What you need to succeed Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with subsequent relevant work experience.Excellent oral communication skills, in particular the ability to deliver dynamic presentations to engage a wide variety of audiences and to provide one-on-one advice to clients.Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, including within teams, internal and external clients, suppliers, and other staff within the University while developing positive working relationships.Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure to meet deadlines, and provide a professional service within a busy customer-oriented environment.Demonstrated high-level written communication skills including the ability to write engaging content for a range of audiences to achieve organisational goals.Proven ability to contribute to and implement process improvements that support the service provided to prospective students and/or support the achievement of departmental goals.Life at QUT We're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
