As School Crossing Supervisor, you will work alongside a dedicated team focused on fostering a secure environment for our community's youth and ensuring their safety.
A typical day will include: Supervision of children and vehicles at children's crossings and traffic lights during nominated hours on school daysEnsure that pedestrians crossing the road at the children's crossing or traffic lights do not unduly disrupt traffic flowMaintain sensible road behaviour of children using the crossingEnsure that all vehicles are stationary before allowing pedestrians access to the crossingReport incidents and breaches of the Road Safety (Traffic) RegulationsConduct inspections of the crossing and report fortnightlyMake recommendations to improve safety at children's crossingsReport identified hazards that may pose a risk to employees or the publicAttend compulsory Children's Crossing Supervisor training as requiredWhat you will bring to the role: Ability to lift and insert crossing flags into polesValid employee working with children's checkA high level of awareness and an ability to judge traffic flowThe ability to work with children specifically and the wider public in generalUnderstanding of Victorian traffic lawsHold a valid Victorian Drivers LicenceWhy should you join us?
