School-Based / Full-Time Apprenticeship - Roof Plumbing

During your Apprenticeship, you will be provided with mentoring while you complete on-the-job and off-the-job training.
We will provide you with ongoing support to help you achieve your career goals.
What will you be doing?
An apprenticeship in roof plumbing equips you with the skills and knowledge to install, maintain and repair flashings, metallic roof and wall claddings and rainwater products such as gutters and downpipes.
Our Host employer is a family owned and operated business working predominately in inner city suburbs.
You will undertake a variety of tasks, including:a Use hand tools and power tools to lay and secure roof sheeting or cladding Install and repair roof drainage systems including gutters, downpipes and tanks Work on residential construction sites with other trades Comply with local building codes and work health and safety regulations Use your maths skills to take measurements, calculate areas and quantities Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

You may have undertaken Doorways to Construction at school or already undertaken some work experience in the Construction Industry.
