Tintern Grammar is seeking to appoint a dynamic, experienced and skilled School Accompanist/Head of Keyboard who will provide exceptional musical support and leadership to our School's music program.
About the Role
The School Accompanist/Head of Keyboard works directly with the Director of Music and the music faculty to provide high-level musical support to the Tintern Grammar community. This role ensures the smooth and effective delivery of daily musical activities and performances, including some evening commitments.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
A skilled accompanist and high-level musician with experience working with students to Diploma and VCE level.
Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
A strong work ethic and a passion for music education.
Excellent proficiency in keyboard instruments, including piano and digital keyboards.
Comprehensive knowledge of music theory, repertoire, and ensemble accompaniment.
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality of musical performance.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing valuable insights and innovations to the music program.
The position reports directly to the Director of Music and responsibilities include coordination of all keyboard staff, students and resources. A high level of competence on your instrument and experience as an accompanist of choral and instrumental repertoire is required. The successful applicant must have current VIT registration or a current Working with Children Check.
Candidates selected for interviews may also be required to accompany a choral rehearsal as part of the interview process.
In addition to this role, there is an opportunity to undertake seasonal work as a Musical Director of School Productions for the right candidate.
