The Margaret and John Crutch PhD Scholarship (Scholarship) is awarded to an incoming PhD student at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute (Baker Institute) to support their PhD candidature in medical research.
Supported by Ruth Crutch and Equity Trustees, this scholarship honours Miss Glenys Ruth Crutch's parents, Margaret and John Crutch, and the family's enduring interest in discovery science.
The opportunityThe Scholarship will support one full-time student up to the value of $50k per annum (includes associated on-costs) for the duration of their PhD — 3.5 years.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
be enrolled or in the process of enrolment at an approved tertiary institutionbe primarily based at the Baker Institute, and the primary supervisor an employee of the Baker Institutebe an Australian permanent resident.Selection criteriaThe Scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who, under the selection process, has been assessed and highly ranked based on academic merit by the Baker Institute.
The following conditions apply:
