What you'll be doing To deliver evidence-based care to children with diabetes and endocrine disorders and to support the research and educational activities of the endocrine department.
Develop and undertake world class research that enhances health outcomes of children with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
Develop and support the educational activities within the Department and more broadly across the hospital.
Mentor and train the next generation of health professionals and scientists in the field of paediatric endocrine medicine.
Effectively work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Participate in review and improvement activities that focus on measurable impact on health outcomes.
Abide by the hospital code of conduct and participate in annual performance reviews for clinical services in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Endocrinologist Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Paediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology and management of complex and rare diseases at the role delineation of the service Possesses (or enrolled in) a higher research degree, and an ongoing commitment to research and translating research into clinical practice Proven expertise in working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team Proven expertise in working effectively with stakeholders, including consumers Willingness to take part in non-clinical activities, including administration Availability to participate in an on-call roster, including weekend and public holiday cover, and to respond on site within a reasonable time The preferred applicant may be considered for the award of a conjoint academic title at a level commensurate with his/her qualifications and experience.
The award of the academic title will also confer membership upon the appointee of the relevant University.
The academic title will be held for the duration of The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network appointment.
No remuneration is attached to the University appointment.
The appointee will be responsible to the University for academic matters and to The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network for clinical matters.
