What you'll be doing The research assistant will be an integral member of the research department within Department of Neonatology, Grace Centre for Newborn Care at the Children's Hospital at Westmead, and will work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary research studies, clinical audits and contribute to the provision of quality research activities, undertaking tasks as required, under the management by an appropriate supervisor.
Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification in nursing, science, health, epidemiology, medicine, or Undergraduate Degree Recent experience in a healthcare setting with a medical/nursing/allied health science background.
Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Office products, and some experience with electronic data capture systems, excellent time management, organization and written and oral communication skills Experience in recruitment, participant follow up and following study protocols Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within clinical and research teams Sound knowledge and understanding of the principles of (i) Good Clinical Practice (ii) NHMRC National Statement (iii) The NHMRC Code of Conduct for Researchers SCHN is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity - we acknowledge the vibrancy that a diverse workforce brings to enhance both our workplace culture and our service delivery to children, young people and their families and carers.
