Scheduling Administration Officer, Administration Reliever, Administration OfficerThis role will also provide efficient administration and customer service for patients and professional disciplines with internal and external customers, whilst demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
The purpose of the role is to provide administration support across all areas within Cancer Care Services (CCS) in Metro North Health (MNH) with a high degree of accuracy and within designated timeframes.This role will also provide efficient administration and customer service for patients and professional disciplines with internal and external customers, whilst demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Perform a wide range of administrative duties across all areas within CCS, which may include (but is not limited to) reception, referral centre, scheduling, medical records, billing, and call centre/switchboard services.Provide excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a written and oral capacity with all patients, their families, and staff.Create, process, track and distribute Clinical Encounter Charts (CECs) for CCS Outpatient/Treatment units efficiently and within designated timeframes and according to ieMR Business Rules.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to the MNH Values and the Code of Conduct.Continually seek ways to improve the service via personal development of professional skills.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), by actively supporting the elimination of racial discrimination and institutional racism; supporting increased access to health care; influencing the social, cultural and economic determinants of health; supporting the delivery of sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health services; and recognise the importance of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations to design, deliver, monitor and review the health and support services we provide.
