The purpose of this position is to ensure effective shutdown scheduling of an approved shutdown scope that will enable the delivery of safe, optimal shutdown durations with consideration to resource levelling and utilisation.Support standardisation of best practice shutdown scheduling processes across Covalent Mt Holland in order to significantly improve shutdown execution predictability and reduce overall shutdown duration.This role is a permanent, full-time, FIFO opportunity on an 8:6 roster from Perth to our Mt Holland mine site.Key Responsibilities:Health, Safety, Environment and Community• Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture.• Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.• Comply with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies relating to the project and ensure a safe working environment.• Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are reported.• Ensure to perform duties under the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 understands the nature and scope of that duty.• Ensure application of safe work principles within the Contractor Management framework for contractor personnel.• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of material risk management and ensure controls are in place, including the verification of all Safe Work Procedures for Fixed Plant Maintenance Planning.Technical/Functional/Role:• Scheduling of agreed planned work in accordance with the SAP work management processes with the focus of delivering a safe, resource and duration optimised shutdown.
In particular ensure collaboration with the Fixed Plant Maintenance, Shutdowns and Processing Production teams in order to agree on maintenance schedules.• Build and communicate accurate shutdown schedules reflecting all work management activities including but not limited to:• Shutdown and task preparation activities (pre shutdown)• Plant rundown (Including cleaning, equipment preparation and location, work front isolations)• Actual work effort activities ('tool time')• Plant Commissioning activities (Equipment run up, setup and calibration, etc)• Ensure effective utilisation of available resources for work management by preparing of a fully integrated resource level schedule on time.• Monitor and report progress as defined within shutdown framework and escalate any unplanned/scheduled and non-routine activity or performance to the Senior Maintenance Planner.• Request and govern work management master data changes as required, based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors.• Develop secondary task lists for relevant reoccurring work to support effective planning and safe execution.Financial/Budget• Identify inefficiencies and work to remove such inefficiencies with the support of your Line Manager.• Assist with budgets and forecasts for Fixed Plant Maintenance Planning and assist Senior Maintenance Planner with the creation of shutdown maintenance budget.• Regularly monitor area expenditure/trends and apply remedial controls.• Execute contracts within the approved Contractor Management Framework.• Monitor all contractor work activities to ensure efficient and cost effective use of resources.Leadership and Team• Ensure effective working relationships are built and maintained with other departments and stakeholders, both internal and external.• Contribute as member of the Covalent Lithium team in establishing our desired organisation culture.• Support and coach team members, managers and employees.Role Requirements:• Trade or equivalent industry and/or organisational experience preferred.• All required site statutory competencies as referenced in the site health and safety management system and/or Covalent Framework.• Valid Australian C class driver's license.• Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the Maintenance / Work Management Scheduling area and a minimum work-related experience (> 2 years).• Experience in detailed multitask scheduling within recognised systems, supported by demonstrated capability in resource levelling with further consideration to various task interactions.• Previous exposure to the mining and minerals processing industries in a similar role is preferable.• Proven ability to influence and mentor others in HSEC principles and behaviours.A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the role, candidate experience, skills and qualifications will be offered.Our team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
