About the Role This role has many facets including planning, managing and scheduling inventory movements between the warehouse and our remote customers. You will take lead on ensuring quality control; orders are filled correctly and undertake deliveries as required in a timely and efficient manner to our customers.
The successful candidate will manage our remotes logistics loads, schedule deliveries, communicate with drivers and warehouse staff on freight status and maintain our Sea Swift portal. Implement measures and procedures to drive service performance and continuous improvement of the freight network. Proactively manage changes and assess delivery needs, prioritise own work tasks and those of the logistics team. You will ensure vehicles dispatched to locations have the correct stock loaded at all times, while all stock arriving at the logistics area is receipted accurately.

Responsibilities will include Planning, managing and scheduling inventory movements between the warehouse, our customers and Sea Swift Ensure quality control; orders are filled correctly and undertake deliveries as required in a timely and efficient manner to our customers Identify issues or discrepancies on transport documentation and liaising with relevant individuals to solve the problem. Complete all data entry within specific time frames Document and process outgoing and incoming shipments of finished goods and/or raw materials Conduct customer deliveries as required and according to schedules Move, relocate and load stock in keeping with the company workplace health and safety practices using forklift Qualifications and Skills Minimum 3 years' experience in a driver role, coupled with a clean driving record Previous experience within the Sea Swift portal is highly advantageous Advanced understanding of inventory movement and best practice Physically fit with the ability to safely and appropriately manual handle goods Demonstrated experience in forklift operation Knowledge of Cairns and surrounding areas Previous experience dealing with customers and logistic companies Hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines and most importantly deliver to our customers Strong administration skills and a passion for spreadsheets Genuine commitment to Safety and Company values High level of computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly Forklift Licence (LF) essential Additional Benefits Rewards and discounts program Your contribution is valued and celebrated, the company culture lives this EAP – Employee Assistance Program Uniform provided, so you can look the part Ongoing training with plenty of opportunities for people with the right attitude Job security from a long-standing respected employer in the Cairns region Staff and Fuel discount schemes offered Everyone gets paid to take a day off for their birthday Be part of an organisation that puts its people first and has their best interests at heart Application Process We are an equal opportunity employer with a zero tolerance to Drugs and Alcohol in the workplace and conduct regular random workplace testing.
