The role The Works Delivery group is responsible for the delivery planning and safe execution of all maintenance and minor capital field work across Water Supply, Sewerage, Drainage, Waterways and Catchments for Melbourne Water. Reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Lead as the Scheduler you will be responsible for providing co-ordination and leadership to the our Field Delivery Teamsto ensure the safe and effective delivery of 90 and 30 day programs of works, ensure alignment with processes and best practices (Works Management Governance), consistency across regions and support with initiator liaison.
Within the role you will also ensure the scheduling coordination of the maintenance program by the service providers (internal and external) are integrated, enhanced, balanced and continuously improved to deliver the best outcome for operations, customers and key stakeholders.
Your vast experience and/or tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering or related discipline will see you succeed within this role.
Demonstrated expertise in the scheduling of large multi-disciplined program of works and individual projects.
Demonstrated experience in risk identification and allocation.
Experience in IBM MAXIMO will be viewed favourably
Proven communication and consultation skills – proven ability to build relationships, influence and communicate effectively about complex subjects at all levels.
The ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
Knowledge of Civil Asset Management Practices, Natural Resource Management and Vegetation Management Practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous business improvement of systems, processes, H&S culture and team capability.
Experienced in exercising a high level of independence and decision making.
Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required.
