Help us build the future and we'll help you build a rewarding and purposeful career. We are seeking to appoint several SCEC Consultants/ Security Engineers, which will be key appointments for our business.
Joining a high-performing national team of security services professionals providing security and risk solutions to GHD's key clients.
Ideally, we will have at least one join the team physically in Adelaide, with other appointments being made in other Australian locations, where we have ~30 specialist engineers and consultants, supporting the safety, security, and resilience of our communities, delivering projects with significant physical and electronic security requirements.
These positions offer a variety of work and will see you involved in, but not limited to: Developing and documenting technical design solutions for physical and electronic security in accordance with Australian Government Physical Security, and other site-specific client requirements.Providing security design and compliance advice to engineering and architecture teams on key government projects.Providing detailed design documentation that fits the needs of our clients and communities, including:Physical security zone plansElectronic security plansElectronic Access Control SystemsIntruder Detection Systems and Security Alarm SystemsClosed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and Video Analytics SystemsIntegrated electronic security networks.Collaborating in an integrated 3D design environmentDelivering project solutions to program and budgetBuilding and maintaining trust-based, long-term professional relationships with clients across all levels.Mentoring junior security professionals in the teamOpportunities to develop your project leadership and management skills.What you will bring to the team: Electrical, electronics, ICT, telecommunications or computer systems engineering background – desired.More than 5 years' experience in security consulting; advising on physical and electronic security, including design, developing reports and specifications.Must hold a current Australian Government security clearance and the ability to obtain relevant security licences across Australia.Passion for helping organisations assess and deliver security, risk, strategy and technology.Proactive, professional, collaborative and personable approach.
Possess a client mindset, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.Highly desirable:Familiarity with Defence security requirementsSCEC and Security construction compliance audits and inspectionsSecurity qualifications or certificates (such as ASIS International CPP or PSP)Experience in the Revit modelling environment.Interested?
