Purpose of the Position
The Scaffold Co-Ordinator is responsible for growing and driving the scaffolding department, including strengthening client relations, manning of works and overseeing safety, compliance and quality control and delivery of equipment to site.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate scaffolding operations, ensuring compliance with manufacturer design specifications, engineers design (if applicable), regulations and standards.
Grow the scaffold department by strengthening client relationships and pursuing scaffold opportunities.
Implement safe systems of work per GHS and statutory requirements.
Coordinate and lead teams of scaffolders and other team members.
Schedule ongoing and future work providing great customer service.
Manage performance - Applies clear / consistent performance standards, handles performance problems decisively and objectively.
Provide guidance and assistance to improve performance.
People Development - Provides feedback and coaching, rewards hard work, takes mentoring role, challenges and develops employees, accepts mistakes, provides visibility / opportunity.
Self motivated and enthusiastic team player.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Clear / consistent performance standards, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge in estimating scaffold works.
Managing performance of subcontractors.
Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement within a quality assured framework.
Experience - Minimum 5 years senior experience within the scaffolding industry.
Requirements
Construction Industry White Card (essential).
Worksafe High Risk Licence - Scaffolding Advanced (preferred).
Police Clearance suitable for Gold Industry (obtained within the past 12 months - essential).
Drivers Licence (essential).
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
