DERMS (Distributed Energy Resources Management Systems) Engineer About UsJemena is an Australian energy company who owns and operates over $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.About the role:The DERMS Engineer will lead the registration, validation, and testing of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) onto Jemena DERMS systems. The Engineer will ensure connections fit the requirements of the connection process and will participate within the customer connections workflow taking ownership of connections processing onto the Jemena DERMS. The Engineer will drive the continuous improvement of DER processes and systems.Your responsibilities will include:Leading DERMS operational design, configuration, testing, commissioning, administration and supportLead the registration, validation, and testing of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) onto Jemena DERMS systemsEnsure connections fit the requirements of the connection process, and will participate within the customer connections workflow taking ownership of connections processing onto the Jemena DERMSAbout you:Bachelor's degree in engineering - Electrical / Control SystemDistribution Electricity industry background is preferred, in a hands-on OT roleAMDS/DERMS background preferredAsset connection/commissioning onto DERMS, SCADA or AMIStrong understanding of electricity distribution network topology and the configuration management of SCADA, AMI and DERMSStrong understanding of the Common Smart Inverter Profile (CSIP-Aus)Excellent knowledge of ADMS design, configuration and integrationConfiguration management of an OT systemCritical infrastructure and application supportExperience in client facing roles including project and ability to support 24-hour operationsExcellent problem-solving, fault finding and analytical skills.Influential and capable of managing expectations of the system and capabilities by providing a clear understanding of the status, capabilities, constraints and path to value of the SCADAHighly collaborative with a focus on continuous improvementWhy you should come and work for usOur people are our greatest strength and inspiration so having various flexible working options, paid parental leave and leave purchase plans amongst many other benefits are key foundational elements on which we have built our success.
