Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. At Timberlink we embrace innovation, and this drives our constant growth. We are currently building two purpose-built manufacturing plants to adjoin our existing facilities at both of our sites. Complementing our already diverse range of products, we will be manufacturing new timber products including cross laminated & glue laminated timber (NeXTimber) and wood-plastic composite decking & screening, expanding our business into new markets in 2023. These products will take Timberlink from being primarily a structural timber manufacturer to a structural engineered timber products and solutions business.
About the role: Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Saw Doctor / Technician to join our team at our Tarpeena Mill. The main objective of this role is to provide outstanding support and guidance to the Saw Shop team, operating and maintaining all saw shop equipment as well as ensuring all saw and knife changes are completed efficiently and to a high level.
The successful candidates may be required to work on a rotating day, afternoon, and night shift roster with regular weekend work. Some flexibility will be afforded to suitable candidates as well as relocation assistance provided.
With the $100 million upgrade completed (equipped with a state of the art, world class saw shop), along with a brand new, state of the art, $60 million CLT/GLT plant now in operation, this thriving facility will continue to evolve, becoming one of the most modern timber manufacturing facilities in Australia – a simply amazing time to join and showcase your outstanding manufacturing and leading capabilities.
