About the role We are extremely excited to announce that we are inviting applications for a SAP Lead Functional Architect role to be based in our Melbourne office with a hybrid working setup. The SAP Lead Functional Architect is going to oversee cross-functional integration design within the Orica IT SAP ecosystem. This includes collaboration with Solution Architects to ensure quality solutions and maintain design integrity. The role will also support Orica's business and IT strategy through governance, design, implementation, change management, and application development ensuring that system integrations are executed flawlessly and align with our business objectives. We're looking for someone who has a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills! What you will be doing The SAP Lead Functional Architect will coordinate across teams of contractors and professional services providers, following HR, SHES, and Procurement guidelines. The role also involves leading and motivating colleagues, recognizing performance, addressing underperformance, managing workload prioritization, contributing to application delivery policies, and ensuring compliance with Orica's IT strategy and business objectives. As a SAP Lead Functional Architect, you will be accountable for ensuring functional integration across the SAP application landscape, coordinating with IT solution architects to deliver feasibility studies, solution designs, and blueprints. You will support the full application development lifecycle, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with quality standards. On top of the responsibilities, you will be responsible for managing the roadmap and lifecycle of product components, reviewing vendor notifications, and coordinating impact assessments. This role will ensure that effective communication, testing, and change management activities, and SME support will be provided to the operational teams. What you will bring Tertiary qualification in an IT-related discipline Complex SAP landscapes experience 10+ years SAP experience managing complex changes across multiple solutions and functional areas 2+ years SAP Functional Architect / Solutions Architect experience in SAP Supply Chain / Manufacturing process and solutions 2+ years in a Lead role Highly desirable experience in multiple SAP functional areas - SAP S/4Hana experience in Logistics, Purchasing, Transport Management, Production Planning and execution, Accounts Payable The role will benefit from the experience in the additional multiple SAP functional and/or technical areas - SAP S/4HANA Advanced Planning, IBP, SAP HU management, Track and Trace (SAP ATTP), Open text VIM, Label printing solutions, Weighbridge solutions Strong planning skills to conduct planning and forecasts Proven experience in working with a multi-sourced and multi-location team of employees, contractors and multiple vendors Demonstrated experience and competency in SAP solution roadmap and strategy Demonstrated problem solving and remediation skills Strong customer engagement and relationship building skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to technical and lay audiences Initiative to anticipate situations and problems and ability to advise on appropriate workarounds and solutions What we offer As part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
