Consultants (Information & Communication Technology) Full time Location can be in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth.

We are seeking seasoned SAP Payroll Specialists to join our Australian Public Sector Service Line, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional payroll solutions to our clients.
Leveraging your expertise in SAP Payroll, you will collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique payroll requirements, configure SAP systems to meet their needs, and provide ongoing support to ensure smooth payroll operations.
As an SAP Payroll Specialist, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to projects, drive innovation, and shape the future of payroll processing for our clients as a trusted advisor.
The role is within our Public Sector Service Line, to start as soon as possible, for work across Federal, State, and Local Government.
Based on potential work with Federal Public Sector, there is a preference for Australian Citizens, as it is a requirement for security clearance purposes.
Key responsibilities include: Lead/contribute to client engagements to assess payroll needs, gather requirements, and design SAP Payroll solutions tailored to client specifications.Configure SAP Payroll to support complex payroll processes, including wage calculation and statutory entitlements and reporting.Collaborate with client stakeholders to define payroll policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct system testing and validation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data and calculations.Develop and deliver training programs for client end-users on SAP Payroll functionality and best practices.Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on payroll process optimization, system enhancements, and technology roadmap planning.Lead cross-functional project teams, including consultants, developers, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality payroll solutions on time and within budget.Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in SAP Payroll technology, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.Take initiative to ensure technical or specialized skills and specializations are kept up to date in line with SAP releases and industry developments.Assist presales and business development activities including client presentations.Qualifications and Additional Requirements: Certification in SAP HCM / SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) (Preferred)Proven experience in end-to-end SAP Payroll / SAP SuccessFactors ECP implementation projects (including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
)Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Payroll consulting, whether implementing or supporting SAP Payroll, with a proven track record of delivering successful payroll projects or support outcomes.Expertise in configuring SAP Payroll, including experience with schema and rules writing, wage type configuration, and payroll schema customization.Strong understanding of Australian statutory payroll requirements, across multiple jurisdictions.Experience in SAP Payroll implementation and/or support for Public Sector organisations.Excellent consulting skills, with the ability to engage clients, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering accurate and high-quality results.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, with a strong commitment to client satisfaction and delivering value-added solutions.Experience with other SAP HCM modules (e.g., Personnel Administration, Organizational Management) and integration with SAP Payroll is preferred but not required.Experience and/or certification in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is preferred but not required.Experience in/exposure to other Payroll solutions can also be advantageous.Note: This job description is intended to provide an overview of the SAP Payroll Specialist role within the team.
