Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join their Canberra team. This is a 12 month contract with 4x6 months extension option. Working as part of a project team, the successful candidate will use their extensive industry knowledge, technical expertise, and best practices to deliver key development activities.To be successful in this role you must:Lead end-to-end SAP ABAP development for SAP ECC6 and SAP Cloud Platform Programming Models.Manage third-party dependencies related to SAP developments.Facilitate an agile development team using the Scrum framework.Collaborate with Functional Analysts and end users to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.Provide knowledge transfer to APS personnel to support ongoing system management and skill development.Report to the Project Manager as required to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.To be considered for this role you must:Extensive experience in end-to-end SAP ABAP development, with strong expertise in custom development across HR/Payroll, Financials, and Procurement.Proficiency in ABAP skills, including Data Dictionary, User Exits (CMOD/SMOD/Enhancement Points), debugging, OSS Note application through SNOTE, Web Dynpro, Object-Oriented (OO) Coding, ALV Reporting, SMARTFORMS, SAPSCRIPT, and SAP Workflow.Strong analytical skills to assist in the analysis and application of Support Packs (SPAU).Experience with the creation and maintenance of interfaces, specifically using RFC calls.Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.Over 10 years of experience in the SAP System Development Lifecycle, specifically within HR, Financials, and Procurement processes.Additional desirable skills and capabilities include:Public sector experience and working within multicultural team environments.Experience working on the Parliamentary Expenses Management System.Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Programming Models and SAP S/4 HANA development.Familiarity with UI5 and Fiori App design and development.When inquiring about this role, please quote the job number.To be considered for the role click the 'apply' button or for more information about this and other opportunities please contact Irina Alrogi on (0)2 or email: and quote the above job reference number.Paxus values diversity and welcomes applications from Indigenous Australians, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people living with a disability.
