About the Role Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide, Santos is seeking a Senior Economics Analyst to join the Corporate Planning and Economics department. Reporting to the Manager Economic Modelling and Analysis, this position is responsible for generating and communicating economics and analysis relating to project development, asset commercialisation, and investment opportunities.
Key responsibilities include: Build and maintain economic models for asset hubs and projects Generate economics for long-term plans in consultation with the relevant planners Produce and communicate deterministic and probabilistic economic evaluations for asset hubs and sub-developments Provide analytical support for technical, commercial, and contractual arrangements Generate inputs for Excom, CEO, Board, and other decision support papers Generate and communicate corporate assurance economics for the corporate gating process Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the energy industry, including market dynamics, pricing, and infrastructure About You You will be dynamic and highly skilled with a passion for driving impactful decisions in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background and tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Geoscience, or Engineering. Your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to collaborate seamlessly with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring effective and efficient decision-making.
Ideally, you will be degree qualified in Economics or Engineering or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant roles in large corporate environments.
