Are you passionate about crafting delicious sandwiches and lead the food direction of one of Perth's coolest coffee shops? Our bustling café is seeking a dedicated team member to join us in delivering exceptional casual but delicious culinary experiences to our valued customers. The role is 3-4 days per week during the morning hours of typically between 5:30am-12:30/1pm, suitable for someone who is looking for flexibility with afternoon working hours.

Sandwich Preparation:

Prepare a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and high quality bread items with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Operational Skills:

Demonstrating a simple yet efficient workflow, adherence to food safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness and organization and a high attention to detail. Menu Development:

Collaborate with the Kitchen Lead and cafe management to innovate and enhance our sandwich menu offerings, keeping up with current food trends and customer preferences. Team Training:

Assist in training and mentoring casual kitchen staff on sandwich preparation techniques, food safety protocols, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Order Management:

Help manage inventory levels for sandwich ingredients, place orders with suppliers as needed, and minimize food waste through effective inventory control. Requirements:

Note: Qualified Cook / Chef not required. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is ideal, with a focus on sandwich preparation preferred. Self motivated with the ability to guide and work alongside a small team. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Flexibility to work mornings and weekends.
